Imtiaz Ali, The most celebrated filmmaker of this era. The storyteller and the director who create characters and stories that remain in our hearts forever. The most promising stories and the most exciting movies so far. Today, I am going to talk about one of my favorite directors from Hindi cinema, Imtiaz Ali.

Love like never before, characters and their deep love that makes us fall in love with ourselves. Most of his movies are love stories that make each moment alive and nostalgic. But there are a lot of his movies that talk about a lot of other aspects of life as well. One gets a clear understanding of how the world works and there is a lot to be captured by the camera other than the usual commercial drama.
I had watched Jab We Met when I was a teen. I had discussed a lot about the movie with my friends at that time. Even today Geet, Aditya and their story remains my favorite.

I watched Tamasha When I was 18. I could hardly understand the depth or the physiological turmoil that Ved faces in his life. I rewatched it again after a year. That is when I had a clear understanding of the movie and the characters in it. Later on, I used to watch the movie scenes whenever I felt like. Tamasha remains close to my heart even today.

Anybody who wants to see cinema from a more entertaining point of view will find his movies a little challenging to watch and comprehend. But you will definitely find yourself in the shoes of any of the characters that Imtiaz Ali has developed. That is when we make the path for realistic cinema.

His movies show a lot of natural beauty and a lot of travel diaries that we may not be able to cover up in our normal day-to-day life.
For eg- the movie Highway is shot in Himachal Pradesh, in most of its parts and the makers have made it clear to make the scenery of the place an integral part of the movie. You can see yourself wandering and admiring the beautiful landscape.
Highway also shows a lot of emotional turmoil and psychological difficulties that a person can go through in their lives. Played well and perfectly by the lead characters in the movie.
Each movie wraps up with the circumstances that lead to all the end realizations that the characters have.

Perfect storylines and a beautiful manner of storytelling.
I remember in one of his interviews that Imtiaz Ali had said, not all my movies are theatre successes. But I make sure to get the money that I have spent on a particular movie so that I can give it back to the producer and also have a chance to make my next film.
I hope that the world accepts his movies so that more people like him can come forward and experiment with their ideas.

It took me months to come to a realization that I have to write about him. Everything takes time and hence trust the process and enjoy the journey because we do not know what the world has in store for you.
